Bourglinster

Urbain Lambert, a farmer in Bourglinster, became mayor of the parish of Junglinster after Felix Pütz from 1917 to 1934. Urbain Lambert was neither a council member nor an alderman, and was named mayor directly following his first election in 1917. He also served as a president of the Luxembourgian Dairy Association. On September 18, 1928, Urbain Lambert was named “Officier de l’ordre pour le mérite agricole” by the French government, an honor rarely extended to Luxembourger. There is also a rue Urbain Lambert in Junglinster.
