The Treasure of Altlinster - Godbrange
At the foot of the boulder of Freya on the Freylay near Härtchesleh, between Altlinster and Godbrange, it is said that the heathens buried a great golden treasure that was never found. In 1823, an army of farmers from the village dug under the boulders, looking for the treasure. (Even today, the marks of their digging can still be seen.) However, because the treasure seekers did not keep the condition that no word should be spoken of their digging, the treasure sank deeper and deeper into the Earth, six feet for every word they spoke.
