Of the wayside cross by the renowned sculpture M.Schergen from Godbringen, only the socket remains Originally, the standing stone consisted of two crosses combined, according to Gustav Schmit. The top section which was still present at his time bore the date 1835. The wayside cross was said to memorialize a terrible occurance which took place at this site between 1830 and 1835.
