Jean Ruffenach (1920 – 1944)

Jean Ruffenach was born on 22 November 1920 in Junglinster, the son of Emile Ruffenach and Anne Meysemburg. He had two sisters , worked as a farmer and lived in Junglinster until his forced recruitment.
He went missing on 9 September 1944 and was presumably killed in action against the Soviet army in Christinowka in what is now Ukraine. The last sign of life from him was on 11 December 1944.
On 9 December 1969, he was finally declared dead by the Junglinster registry office.
