Robert Hinger (1921 – 1944)
Robert Hinger was born on 23 September 1921 in Bourglinster. He had another brother, who died in 1933 at the age of 17 due to illness.
Robert was forcibly recruited at the end of May 1943 after having been stationed for the RAD in Poland for six months.
Robert Hinger was killed in action on 6 January 1944 at the age of 22 near Groß-Wydreja in what is now the Ukraine, close to the present-day Russian border.
