Vantage point: “Mouk”
Vantage point on the wooded heights of “Mouk” above the village across from the Bourglinster castle complex. Reachable via the hiking trails: PW 019 /J10/J12. Mëllerdall Extratour DStarting point: Bourglinster pavilion at the parking lot above the castle

Opposite, the Bourglinster castle complex with a lovely view of the northern side of the castle and the gothic tower of the lower castle, House Waldeck, built at the end of the 14th century by the knight Paul Bos of Waldeck. The lower castle was blown up in the 17th century by the troups of Maréchal Bouffler and never rebuilt. In the foreground is the painterly village of Bourglinster. Behind it, the wooded cliffs of the “Buchholz”. On a clear day, beyond the pastures of the Ernz valley, the towns of Imbringen and Blaschette can be made out on the right on the horizon.
